DESCRIPTION
The Royal Arch Floodplain Restoration project's purpose is to improve habitat for Chinook and other salmon and trout--most centrally targeting the top priority limiting factor of lacking refuge and rearing habitat for juvenile Chinook in the mainstem Cedar River—by reconnecting a substantial area of floodplain within a 16-acre restoration project.  Improved floodplain connectivity will also modestly benefit the left-bank neighborhood from flooding impacts.
