DESCRIPTION
Creation of watershed SWAT teams, trained in local ecology, invasive species early detection, community education, and riparian restoration consisting of invasive species prevention, control, and native plant restoration. Create partnerships with transportation corridor managers, ONP, USFS, DNR, private forest landowners, tribes, recreational fishing businesses, local community groups, and landowners to achieve prevention and improved outcomes on control. This project addresses the issue of lack of coordination across watershed boundaries and ownerships, which is resulting in continual invasions of noxious invasive species that stop riparian successional processes and/or are toxic to wildlife and livestock.
