DESCRIPTION
In 2008, Reclamation initiated tributary and reach assessments to increase the certainty that habitat actions identified by project sponsors for implementation would contribute to improving salmonid populations in the Upper Columbia. Reclamation is conducting these assessments as partial fulfillment of their Federal Columbia River Power System (FCRPS) Biological Opinion (BiOp) obligations. The priority reaches and actions identified in these assessments will be used by the Watershed Action Teams to develop and refine the multi-year action plans.
The Lower Entiat Reach Assessment field work commenced in summer 2011. The reach assessment describes the conditions in the lower Entiat River from the mouth (confluence with the Columbia River) up to River Mile 7 near the fish hatchery. The complete document is available online at
