DESCRIPTION
Channel-spanning timber weir beneath a footbridge across the North Cowling channel is currently a total barrier to upstream fish migration. Resident trout of the size observed by surveyors cannot negotiate the 1.5 ft. drop over this weir. Habitat A channel-spanning weir located beneath a footbridge at Cowling Creek Center is a total barrier to upstream fish migration in the North Cowling Creek watershed. Native trout of the size inhabiting this stream cannot negotiate this 1.5 ft. outfall.This project was identified by the Wild Fish Conservancy Water Typing Phase I Summary.
