The Bulldog properties represent a portion of a priority reach identified by MSRF and the Yakama Nation for restoration of off channel and floodplain habitats. The two properties were acquired by MSRF prior to submittal of funding requests for restoration. Restoration actions completed under this grant included reestablishment of approximately 6 acres of previously cleared riparian forest to re-establish the riparian buffer, removal of impacts associated with access road construction, placement of fifteen pieces of LWD within the active floodplain, and removal of placed fill in historic floodchannels. No work was completed within the active river channel.
