DESCRIPTION
Seattle Public Utilities will used this grant to acquire and restore 12.65 acres of property located in the Belmondo Reach on the lower Cedar River in King County. This project has improved habitat for fish, stabilized the shoreline, removed invasive species and re-established the native plant community. This project also included public access improvements such as the development of a trail, a viewpoint of the Cedar River, and interpretive signage. The primary outdoor recreation purpose is for public access to the Cedar River and habitat conservation.
