DESCRIPTION
Nisqually Land Trust proposes to permanently protect, through fee acquisition, 30* acres along the middle reach of Ohop Creek, in Pierce County downstream of the Town of Eatonville. This property includes 2,200 feet of Ohop Creek shoreline and is adjacent to 2.7 acres of Land Trust property. This property would expand the corridor of permanent protection along this reach of Ohop Creek, which contains spawning habitat for Chinook, Coho, Chum, and Pink salmon and Steelhead trout. Protection of this property will provide future opportunities for in-stream and floodplain habitat enhancement and restoration.
