DESCRIPTION
These acquisitions includes approximately 52 acres of pasture and forest lands in the middle stretch of Ohop Creek. The proposed properties are adjacent to other protected lands (Owned by the Nisqually Tribe or Washington Department of Natural Resources) and include 1,700 feet of frontage on Ohop Creek. Ohop Valley is major focus area for acquisition and restoration in the watershed. These acquisitions are situated upstream from previous and current restoration activities. These acquisitions are proposed for purchase for future restoration, bearing in mind that the first and second phases of Ohop restoration took 10 years to acquire and assemble.
