DESCRIPTION
The Jimmycomelately Project was an attempt to remove, to the extent possible, human infrastructure and stressors on the Jimmycomelately-Sequim Bay ecosystem and thereby restore more natural ecosystem processes and functions. Stated simply, the partners dubbed the project: -A vision of undevelopment. The sense of a unified vision among the 27 project partners not only gave the project needed momentum, but also led to the cooperative spirit that was a hallmark of this landscape-scale restoration project.
This project will purchase 3 parcels for restoring the ecological processes of a portion of the nearshore of the JCL estuary. Project will realign Dean Creek and restore its riparian corridor, estuary, and adjacent nearsore. Log yard fill will be removed, two existing homes will be demolished and a road will be removed.
