The Marshall property is located in the Chimacum, Hadlock, Irondale area, which is experiencing development pressures. The Jefferson Land Trust purchased a conservation easement area of approximately 3 acres in the west portion of the property, protecting the riparian area along East Chimacum Creek.

Restoration efforts coordinated by North Olympic Salmon Coalition and other Chumsortium partners have included re-meandering the stream and replanting the riparian vegetation.
