DESCRIPTION

This property is about 1 mile upstream from the Chimacum Creek estuary and immediately downstream of the Irondale Road crossing. Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife (WDFW) purchased 3.3 acres between December 2000 and January 2002. A residential structure that was previously on one of the parcels at this site was dismantled and removed in order to restore the site for fish and wildlife habitat.

Additional restoration projects occurred at this site. See CH RM 0.96 Fish Passage for more information about the culvert replacement project at this site in the 1980's, and CH RM 0.88 Riparian Planting for information on vegetation rehabilitation efforts in 2006.
