This project removed an unmaintained culvert and restored tidal hydrology into the pocket estuary, as well as restored stream flows back to the estuary. Prior to removal, water movement was restricted at the culvert and the two-way flows of the creek and the tides did not function adequately. The pocket estuary has habitat features present that will offer rearing habitat for juvenile Coho, Chinook and Pink Salmon. The small creek has high quality spawning gravels for Chum, Coho, and Cutthroat trout.
