DESCRIPTION
Removal of 20' high dam on Green Creek that spans 115 feet across. Reconstruct channel and install large woody debris and riparian planting.
The work that was done under this grant resulted in final stamped designs for the removal of Talbot Dam and permit applications submitted. To get to the final designs survey work was conducted of the area. Multiple on site meetings were held to meet with stake holders. Including DNR, WDFW construction crew, and community members interested in the project. Designs were reviewed by WDFW biologist and DNR at increments of 30, 60 and 90%. Feed back was also gathered from the Willapa Bay Lead Entity on the design of the channel. All comments and suggestions were taken and incorporated into the design. This work was done by working closely with DNR Archeologist to obtain information needed and ensure that all elements that needed to be were included in the report. A public meeting has been set with DNR to meet with the public and discuss the project. DNR wanted to wait until final designs were done before setting a meeting date.
