DESCRIPTION

As part of the portfolio request the following was added to the scope of the original 2006 ESRP grant. Initiate Construction Phase. With Final Design documents on track for permitting in early 2009 and construction to start in summer 2009 we are in a position to seek construction funding for this multi-year phased project. Add to Scope initial wetlands and riparian restoration treatments on 87 acres of Upper Smuggler's Slough project area. We have secured funding to proceed with this work within the context of the hydraulic modifications and wish to use the funding as match. Add to Scope purchase and preservation of an additional 36.1 acres of property to add to the 512.7 acres already secured for restoration within the project footprint. These parcels will enhance the value of the hydraulic modifications.
