DESCRIPTION
Smith Hollow Creek is a tributary to the lower Tucannon river, terminating between the town of Starbuck, WA and Pataha Creek. Smith Hollow Creek is a designated minor spawning area for Snake River Steelhead. The headwaters originate in the Loess Islands of the Columbia Plateau and flow from N to S. Potential limiting factors include limited riparian function, poor bank stability, sedimentation, low summer base flows, elevated water temperature, and monitoring data gaps.
