The Upper Touchet River has been identified as a priority restoration and protection reach for salmon recovery in the Walla Walla River Basin. The west end ditch has been converted from an open ditch to delivery pipe. This project would convert lateral delivery ditches to pipe and increase water savings equal to 1.22 cfs to be trusted and held in-stream during the months of April-June. In addition efforts could be made to convert to efficient sprinkler heads and further increase efficient use of water.
