DESCRIPTION
The George Creek habitat restoration on the WDFW parcel focused on increasing floodplain connectivity and increasing channel complexity. The project placed large wood in the channel and on the floodplain. A new channel was constructed to increase channel length and activate high flow side channel habitat. The project was completed in September 2013 by the Tri-State Steelheaders in Partnership with the Washington Department of Fish and Wild Life and the US Forest Service.
