DESCRIPTION
Pataha Creek is a major tributary to the Tucannon River and contributes large volumes of fine sediment to the lower 11 river miles. This project would initiate the planting of willow whips within the incised stream channel for the purpose of establishing willows to encourage beaver. It is anticipated the development of beaver ponds would aid in the retention of more fines within the watershed. It is believed that this method would be a cost efective method for establishing beaver in the drainage through which the beaver would begin the restoration process in the Pataha.
