DESCRIPTION
The Snake River Salmon Recovery Plan recommended irrigation diversions withdrawing water from salmon bearing rivers and streams be screened with WDFW compliant screens. Both the Walla Walla Conservation District in Walla Walla County and the Columbia Conservation District in Columbia County have been working with landowners to fund and implement irrigation screens. This project will track fish compliance screens for the MSA. Some screens are being tracked or reported as part of other projects and are reported in those project. For a total screen goal visit the Middle Touchet River MSA reporting goals.
