DESCRIPTION
The Yakama Nation used this funding for an Ecosystem Diagnosis and Treatment (EDT) study of the White Salmon Watershed to establish a long-term framework for quantifying and understanding watershed conditions. The objectives of this EDT assessment were 1) to compile and organize the existing data, 2) to assemble and query those with knowledge of the watershed to maximize validity of the assessment, and 3) to ascertain potential and limiting factors to the production of anadromous salmonids. The final report for the project was the “Assessment of the White Salmon Wathershed uding the Ecosystem Diagnosis and Treatment Model.” Partners included the US Geological Survey's Columbia River Research Laboratory, the White Salmon River Watershed Management Committee (including its Technical Review Committee), the Klickitat County's Citizens Review Committee (including the Klickitat Technical Advisory Group), state agencies, and federal agencies.
