DESCRIPTION
The purpose of this project is to provide the N-7 levee 50-yr protection to the Town of Naches at this location, improve the internal drainage and water quality behind the levee, which provides over winter habitat for Spring Chinook, Coho and steelhead, by moving the location of the Town of Naches POTW outfall to a location exterior to the leveeĀ  addressing DOE water quality and mixing concerns, and by providing structural irrigation outfall solutions at the existing culvert to allow more reliable fish passage and off-channel habitat access in non-flood periods. The application proposes several reconfiguration measures at the existing culvert, to provide a balanced approach to flood protection, fish passage, and water quality benefits.
