DESCRIPTION

This restoration project relates to the Lower Yakima River Assessment, 07-1566N. The assessment identified a list of projects in the area that were ready for implementation. The Benton Conservation District (BCD) implemented 10 small diversion screening projects and 5 riparian enhancement projects, as a catalyst to future restoration. This was the beginning steps towards the beneficial change in the Lower Yakima River for the future of the cohabitation of salmon and societal water uses.
