DESCRIPTION

The primary project objective was to conduct an alternatives analysis (US Bureau of Reclamation), coordinate with the US Forest Service and Chelan PUD, and prepare conceptual designs in order to remove or selectively breach a levee to reconnect 25 acres of off-channel habitat and floodplain in the Upper White Pine Reach of Nason Creek. This reconnection will lead to increased refuge and rearing habitat, increased floodplain connectivity, and the restoration of natural channel processes in the project reach.
