DESCRIPTION
Clear Creek is a small perennial stream that is a tributary to the Chiwawa River. The mouth of clear creek is about two miles up the Chiwawa River from its confluence with the Wenatchee River. The first half of a mile of the stream is located on the Thousand Trails property, a private outdoor recreation facility. This stream is well documented as being an important Steelhead spawning stream, so anything we can do to improve this stream will help the survival of this threatened species. So far CCFEG has partnered with Thousand Trails, the Icicle Chapter of Trout Unlimited, and the Plain Fly Tiers to plant over 200 trees along a portion of the stream that has been completely cleared of all riparian vegetation.
