DESCRIPTION
The Poorman Creek Road Large Wood Enhancement Project entails construction of two bank buried, engineered log structures on the river left margin of the Lower Twisp River at RM 1.9. These structures will provide perennial pool habitat, increase cover and hydraulic refuge in a generally wood deficient reach of the Twisp River. These habitat complexity structures will consist of 29 pieces of large wood in total and span approximately 137 feet of riverbank once the project is completed. Pools will be excavated at the toe of the wood structures to promote pool formation and create hydraulic conditions designed to sustain pool depth.
