DESCRIPTION
CCNRD has completed the Channel Migration Zone (CMZ) Site 12 &13 project. This work resulted in a levee breach, reconnection of off-channel habitat and installation of large wood complexes in the existing high flow side-channel. This project enhance degraded site conditions while improving primary habitat limiting factors identified within the lower Wenatchee River. This off-channel habitat restoration project has introduced 1.7 acres of new off-channel refuge and enhanced 835 linear feet of high-flow channel habitat. This project is designed to benefit ESA listed juvenile Chinook and steelhead.
