DESCRIPTION
This report describes an assessment of channel and floodplain processes that are relevant to salmonid habitat in the Entiat river, a tributary to the Columbia River located on the east slope of the Cascade Mountains in north-central Washington. The principle objective of this assessment is to provide resource managers and basin stakeholders with a summary document of the pertinent scientific information that will help them in habitat restoration planning and decision making. This report focuses on the lower 26 river miles (RM) of the basin; the upper part of the basin, managed by the Okanogan-Wenatchee National Forest, is not addressed here. Work described in this report was accomplished by a multidisciplinary team with expertise in fisheries, vegetation, and physical processes (hydraulics, sediment transport, geology, geomorphology, and hydrology).
