DESCRIPTION

This project re-meanders a ditched, straightened segment of Yaksum Creek. The project site was also planted with riparian vegetation. The project site was cleared in the 1950's and Yaksum Creek was ditched and put in a wooden pipe wrapped with steel wire to allow fruit trees planted and farmed in the Canyon. The site proved unsuitable for fruit trees, and the orchard was eventually pulled.
