The project installed 3 independent log structures and 100 feet of rootwad riprap along 700 feet of Beaver Cr. Livestock exclusion fencing will protect 200-300 ft wide riparian buffers that have been planted in native vegetation for the riparian buffer establishment. Off-stream water will be provided to remove livestock from the stream. To reduce over-steepened banks a slope was recountoured to 1.5:1 or less along the shoreline. The project design provides habitat complexity and deflects high flow from the eroding bank encouraging left bank inundation with log and rock placement.
