DESCRIPTION

The Methow Conservancy used this funding to protect salmonid habitat by acquiring conservation easements on 12 properties along the Methow River and one property along the Twisp River in the Methow Valley, Okanogan County. Approximately 8.8 riverfront miles and 772 acres were acquired, including floodplain, riparian, and wetland habitat. This protection of high-quality habitat will benefit spring Chinook and steelhead.
