DESCRIPTION
The Coordinated Resource Management Plan is a planning tool that helps landowners and governing agencies identify and hopefully solve problems before they become a crisis by bringing the effected parties to the table and discussing options and potential solutions. The CRMP process was used to look at water issues on Private land with willing participants in the Beaver Cr. drainage of the Methow Valley. Although this process was not listed in any Salmon Recovery Strategy or Technical Teams Priority Considerations it was supported by the local WDFW Watershed Steward WDFW Habitat Biologist Colville Confederated Tribes Natural Resource Conservation Service and the DOE. The plan provided recommendations for methods of water conservation along with a list of potential future recovery projects.
Okanogan Conservation District convened a group of landowners in the Beaver Creek project area along with agencies who were interested in develop a coordinated plan for addressing salmon recovery actions in the watershed. The group met numerous times to identify the resource concerns related to salmon recovery and developed a workplan for how they would work collaboratively to address the resource concerns.
