Chelan County and Cascadia Conservation District partnered to restore 1.39 acres of wetland located alongside Beaver Creek, off of Chiwawa Loop Road, Leavenworth, Washington in Section 6 &7, T26N, R18E.

Restoration will repair the natural and historic functions of the degraded wetland. Functions include flood flow attenuation, water storage, sediment removal, and water quantity detention and water quality improvement.

Five shallow monitoring wells were installed. These were installed to measure and determine that the hydrology needed was present during the growing season. Based on site conditions and surrounding vegetation the site was planted with emergent, scrub-shrub vegetation classes, with riparian buffer areas also planted with scrub-shrub classes.
