DESCRIPTION

The project is part of a grant from the Department of Ecology (DOE) to support improved water quality

SFEG has received grant funding from the
Department of Ecology (DOE) to plan, design and implement habitat restoration
on the Samish River. The Cougar Mountain LLC property is located in
the Samish Basin
off of Grip Road
in Skagit County.

The restoration activities proposed for the
Cougar Mountain property, Tax Parcel 35727 are part of the larger Knotweed
Revegetation Program taking place in the Samish Watershed. The restoration plan for the Cougar Mountain
property includes riparian planting, invasive control and maintenance. A riparian
planting plan developed by SFEG in coordination with the Samish Tribe is
described below.
