DESCRIPTION
Skagit Fisheries Enhancement Group corrected a fish passage barrier on Summer Creek, a tributary to Lake Cr, Big Lake, Nookachamps River, Skagit River, within Skagit County. The previous crossing was a .91 meter corrugated steel culvert in very poor shape. It was replaced with a 30' long by 14' wide steel bridge to make this crossing fish passable and move higher flows, streambed material and any debris that might be moved during these high flows. Correction of this barrier improved access to about 0.77 miles of habitat for resident trout. There is a section of type N stream, then F, then X to Summer Lake but is likely all fish bearing. There is a 10 ft high barrier falls downstream (893806) which likely blocks coho and steelhead.
