DESCRIPTION

Performed volunteer planting events on April 3rd, and April 17th. 10 nurse logs dropped off to site by Banksavers at main entrance in parking area near My Creek. Nurse logs will be filled with soil and planted on Earth Day by volunteers, staged near main access road/trail and placed during drier periods. Wood poles to be brought in from Pilchuck Tree Farm and staged down near bridge across Portage Creek. Students from TELT to construct poles and install over time and as site conditions allow. Plant whips/cuttings and other bare root plants within buttercup patches and orchard grass areas on north side of stream in area designated as Task Force planting zone. Bare root trees and shrubs will be installed in orchard grass areas on north side of stream.
