DESCRIPTION
Sound Salmon Solutions (SSS) proposes to address high water temperatures by removing invasive plants and planting native trees and shrubs in a 100-250 foot riparian buffer along 3,200 linear feet, totaling 10.4 acres of King County owned property along the right bank of the Snoqualmie River. Increased shade will help reduce water temperatures that exceed state standards. SSS will work with the community to provide opportunities to engage in the restoration process and to learn about the importance and implications of water quality.
