DESCRIPTION
Munson Creek, a tributary to Allen Creek, runs through Northpointe Park (City of Marysville public park). The riparian zone is overrun by non-native invasive weeds. Snohomish Conservation District proposes to restore 3 acres of riparian forest and use this site as a classroom for future volunteer events and Earth Day celebrations. Restoring habitat in the Allen Creek watershed is critical upon completion of the Qwuloolt Estuary project which may lead to increasing numbers of spawning salmon upstream.
