DESCRIPTION
The Snohomish Conservation District, in partnership with Tulalip Tribes, Forterra, and NRCS is launching a campaign to restore healthy soils in the French Creek watershed. Healthy soils buffer hydrologic alterations, promote plant growth, filter pollutants, slow runoff, and many other beneficial actions to restore salmon habitat and water quality. Actions will include an outreach effort to landowners in the floodplain, City of Monroe, and rural residential areas, installation of riparian buffers, installation of agricultural BMPs, and low impact development techniques.
