DESCRIPTION
WFC is currently completing final designs and permitting for the replacement of a 1.5 foot span partial barrier culvert with a large 14 foot span box culvert. When constructed, the project will improve fish access to a short but extremely stable and productive side channel in the Upper Raging River. The project will also restore the delivery of sediment and wood to the downstream section of the side channel. With this proposal we request funding for construction and implementation monitoring.
With this application we propose to remove / replace one fish passage (the Wilkenson driveway culvert) barrier and complete final designs for replacement of four additional full or partial fish passage barriers that exist upstream from the Wilkenson driveway culvert. WFC will be seeking funding for construction on all five culvert replacement / removals and for channel / pond reconnections.
