DESCRIPTION
Snohomish County owns the northern tip of South Ebey Island, and several properties to the south are largely undeveloped. Breaching the dike along Snohomish County's property would create 200+ hectares of tidal marsh. If several properties to the south are acquired, a much larger area could be restored and a shorter cross-dike would be required to protect adjacent landowners against flooding.
