DESCRIPTION
This project would rehabilitate habitat for rearing and off-channel refuge on Springbrook Creek. Springbrook Creek is a tributary to the Black river. Approximately 4,500 feet of Springbrook Creek would be improved with riparian plantings, large wood, pool construction, channel branch (dendrite) excavation, and, where appropriate, modification to create a 2-state (low- and high-flow) channel.

NOTES
Because Springbrook Creek is spring fed, water quality is generally good. Riparian vegetation is dominated by invasive plants, however, which do not create shade, refuge, or instream diversity.

11/1/11: Per the City of Renton, this project is not a priority and they are not pursuing it at this time.
