DESCRIPTION

King County used this funding to protect 30 riparian acres and approximately 1,500 feet of Green River frontage with intact Chinook spawning and rearing habitat. The acquisition also contains three perennial streams that provide important habitat features for salmon. The properties expanded the ecological influence of previous acquisitions and created a critical link between large blocks of public open space. They will facilitate future fish habitat restoration projects.
