DESCRIPTION

Lower Bear Creek Restoration: Provide an enhanced channel alternative to the ditched and leveed lower 3,000 feet of Bear Creek, including a new refuge confluence with the Sammamish River. Add LWD, restore riparian conditions.

6/2013: N201 is active, N355 is not. N201 design 90% complete, and construction is anticipated during 2013 - 2015.

10/2014: New channel watered and planting completed in 2014. Plant maintenance/planting will continue over next couple of years, but construction portion of project is complete.

2015: N201-Completed project acquired and protected 14 acres floodplain, reconstructed 3,000 feet of channel, and restored 12 acres to native plants. Values not reported in HWS metrics due to mitigation dollars being used to fund the majority of the project.For N355, Redmond has no immediate plans to work on this project.
