DESCRIPTION
I211. Issaquah Creek Park: Located in vicinity of confluence of Issaquah Creek and East Fork Issaquah Creek. Current City-owned land in this passive park includes Johnson and Bebee parcels. Site currently has degraded stream and riparian habitat that offers excellent potential for restoration.  In 2008 the City of Issaquah completed the purchase and sale agreement for the Anderson property. In May 2010 the City of Issaquah selected a landscape architect to prepare a master site plan which includes restoration for instream and riparian habitat improvement. In 2011, the City received SRFB, KCD and City funding for design and permitting. The project is currently at 30 percent design and seeking funding for construction in 2013. The objective of the project is to restore the 1,300-foot long stream and 600-foot long segment of the main stem and East Fork Issaquah Creeks, respectively, with the goal to improve and restore aquatic and riparian habitat for Chinook salmon, coho salmon, steelhead trout, and other wildlife species dependent of the aquatic and riparian creek corridor.  In the concept plan, the following actions are proposed to meet creek restoration goals and objectives: 1)    Remove non-native, invasive plants; 2)    Remove sections of the armored creek banks (retain mature cottonwood and maple trees) and floodplain fill, and reconnect the two relic oxbows to the main stem of Issaquah Creek; 3)    Install large woody debris (LWD) and strategically place large roc
