DESCRIPTION
This project includes adding to and extending the existing 72-inch diameter HDPE drainpipe that was installed in 1998 as part of the East Main Road Improvement Project, to the north and south. A channel has been constructed to convey flows from a new 48-inch diameter storm drainpipe, serving East Main. The discharge from this 48-inch pipe will combine with Deer Creek within this new channel. There will be a gravel bottom to the pipe which will serve as fish passage/habitat enhancement.
A retaining wall will most likely be required along the east property boundary of the WESCO Automobile Repair Shop property, and concrete headwalls are desired at each end of the culvert. Work includes topographic survey, permitting and easement assistance, geotechnical work, concrete headwall and retaining wall design, wetland delineation, and vegetative restoration.
