DESCRIPTION

This project is located on the McCarty's private property in the Huge Creek Watershed. Fish and Wildlife identified the stream as supporting fish and the culvert was identified as being impassible limiting fish passage to the upper reaches of Pakuna Creek. The proposed project will improve fish passage and restore stream function within the road prism. Remove an undersized roadway culvert, identified as a fish passage barrier on Pakuna Creek and abandon the roadway. Restore the stream channel to natural conditions using woody debris and gravel. Enhance a portion of the road and riparian area with native vegetation.
