DESCRIPTION
This project addresses the work plan's highest priority: protection of intact habitats. The Project's 700+ lineal feet of nearshore habitat is enriched by nutrients from Glendale Creek, which enters Possession Sound (from Land Trust Property) approximately 500' north of the subject property, as well as the eroding bluffs on the property. The WRIA 6 Multi-Species Salmon Recovery Plan acknowledges the importance of this corridor for out-migrating juvenile salmon, for forage and refuge from predators, and the site is a likely forage fish spawning site.
