Ketter property (Mar Vista Resort), located at the mouth of False Bay, San Juan Island. This property contains significant feeder bluffs, rocky shoreline and intertidal habitat. The nearshore habitat features extensive kelp beds. Orcas spend considerable time close to shore on this section of San Juan Island. While the property has been used as a low intensity resort for several decades, the shoreline is undeveloped. The property is currently on the market and could be subdivided into eight 5-acre lots.

Recent fish sampling in this area has caught juvenile salmon (chinook, chum, and pink) as well as forage fish (surf smelt and sandlance).
