This restoration project is on a tributary to Field Creek which flows directly into the Straits of Juan de Fuca. The road crossing has a .76 meter round corrugated steel culvert is a barrier to fish passage. The culvert is perched and has excessive slope and is undersized creating velocity issues for migrating salmoinds. This small culvert will be replaced with an 18'-span x 9'-rise x 42'-long galvanized steel arch culvert. Correction of this barrier would improve access to 1.71 miles of habitat for coho, steelhead and searun cutthroat trout. This barrier is downstream of two barriers which were corrected by FFFPP (Sallstrom). There is one total barrier downstream which we are trying to get in the FFFPP. There are two total barriers on county roads upstream and three barriers on an unmapped tributary upstream.
