DESCRIPTION
Correction of both Clark barriers would improve access to about 2.0 miles of habitat to the total barriers. These two fish barriers are on separate tributaries to Coville Creek which flows into the Straits in Clallam County. Correction of site 996237 would improve access to 2.38 miles of habitat for coho, steelhead and searun cutthroat per WDFW survey. There are two barriers downstream, one on Eden Valley road (996044) which is 67% passable and one total barrier on SR 112 (990092) which is scheduled for replacement in 2013. At 1.15 miles upstream of the 996237 site is a total barrier on Dan Kelly road (996242). There is an additional 1.15 miles of habitat above the 996242 barrier and three private partial barriers. The third barrier is the FFFPP Van Calcar barrier. Correction of site 996041 would improve access to 0.93 miles of habitat for coho, steelhead and searun cutthroat per WDFW survey. At 0.73 miles upstream of the 996041 barrier on a small trib, there is a total barrier on Dan Kelly road (996231) with only 331 meters of habitat gain above that. On the mainstem there is one partial and two total barriers near the end of the survey.
